Israel Song
Israel is where I was born
And it will always be my home.
It’s always sunny and sometimes rains,
But the traffic can be a pain.
It never snows in Israel within
You can put your snow boots in the garbage bin.
Israel has yummy food:
Shakshuka, falafel – it’s all so good!
My grandmas, grandpas, uncles and cousins
I have so many – more than a dozen.
On Yom Kippur you can bike on highways,
And it’s so much fun during Fridays.
Israel is pretty tiny
but like a diamond it’s really shiny.
Visit Israel you won’t regret it
It’s fun and has a party habit.
The small turtle
The small turtle 🐢
Once upon a time there was a small turtle. I won him at a movie theatre at the arcade in a game where you would grab a card to get points. You could get prizes with the points. I got 657 points. I chose him because a youtuber named Tofuu made me love turtles. He has a “Team” called Team Turtle and in a game called Roblox has a turtle named Mini Me on his shoulder which was my dream item for a REALLY long time. He is green with tiny blue spots on his shell. He is in my jacket pocket. He is probably kind of hot in there. I take him out to play with him at recess sometimes. He loves me and I love him. THE END. 🐢
Purim
My favourite Jewish holiday is Purim. You are probably asking why is my favourite holiday Purim? It’s because of the food, costumes and the story.
The food we eat on this holiday is a cookie called Hamentashen. I have only tried it once and my favourite flavour is chocolate.
The story is about a girl named Esther who is married to king Ahashverosh. When Esther learned that Haman, who worked for the king, was planning against the Jews, she got the courage to tell the king about Haman’s evil plan and saved all the Jews.
I also love Purim because we get to wear costumes.
My favourite vacation
My favourite vacation was my trip to Mexico with my family. We went in the summer 3 years ago. I love swimming in the pool. We stayed in a hotel. There were a lot of lizards. They were everywhere. I saw a shooting star. It was my first time seeing one. It went really fast. It was bright and it glows. There were a lot of pools. My favourite thing to do was go on this thing called the lazy river. It’s called the lazy river because it went really slow. It was short. You sit in this tube. I like sitting in there but I especially like the water. It was kind of short. I went on it over and over again. There was also this giant pool. It was really big. There was a lot of people in it. Then we left Mexico. I was kind of sad because it was really fun.
